  • 1 cup natural peanut butter creamy or chunky
  • 1/2 cup honey for natural sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for aroma
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt balances sweetness

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips for indulgence
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts for extra crunch
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit raisins or cranberries

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine old-fashioned rolled oats and salt in a large bowl, stirring until evenly coated.
  3. Warm peanut butter and honey in a small saucepan over low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over the oats and fold gently until every oat is coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan and press firmly into an even layer.
  6. Refrigerate the pan for at least 1 hour until set.
  7. Lift the bars from the pan using parchment edges and slice into 12 even squares.
