Ingredients

  • Bread: 1 loaf of French baguette or Italian bread, providing the perfect base for our bites.

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven and Prepare the Bread: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, prepare your bread. Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1-inch thick slices. If you prefer smaller bites, you can halve or quarter these slices. Arrange the bread slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Using a baking sheet lined with parchment paper is optional but highly recommended for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Ensure your butter is softened to room temperature, as this will make it much easier to mix with the other ingredients and create a smooth, spreadable garlic butter. Use a fork or a rubber spatula to thoroughly mix all the ingredients together until they are evenly combined and the garlic and herbs are well distributed throughout the butter. The aroma at this stage is already incredibly enticing!
  3. Spread the Garlic Butter on the Bread: Take the prepared garlic butter and generously spread it evenly over the top of each bread slice. Make sure to cover the entire surface of each slice, right up to the edges, to ensure every bite is packed with garlicky flavor. Don’t be shy with the garlic butter – it’s what makes these bites so incredibly delicious and flavorful.
  4. Add the Cheeses: Now it’s time for the cheese! Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter-coated bread slices. Follow this with a generous sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese. The mozzarella will melt beautifully and create that classic cheesy stretch, while the Parmesan will add a salty, savory depth of flavor and a slightly browned, crispy top. Ensure the cheese is distributed uniformly to guarantee cheesy goodness in every bite.
