  • Author: Sarah

Ingredients

Scale

To create this delectable dish, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 4 beef chops (approximately 1-inch thick)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Follow these step-by-step instructions to create your own Sticky Honey Garlic Beef Chops:

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Marinate the Beef Chops: Place the beef chops in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Sear the Beef Chops: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef chops from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Reserve the marinade for later use. Season the chops with salt and pepper, then sear them in the hot skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust. Remove the chops from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the reserved marinade. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then add this mixture to the skillet. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Coat the Beef Chops: Return the seared beef chops to the skillet, turning them to coat evenly with the sticky sauce. Let them simmer in the sauce for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Transfer the sticky honey garlic beef chops to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
