  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For topping.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves For garnish.

Equipment

  • Large Pot

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat the oil: In a large pot, warm olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly until soft and fragrant.
  2. Add tomatoes & broth: Pour in canned diced tomatoes and broth, scraping any brown bits. Increase heat and bring to a gentle simmer, letting the flavors meld for 2 minutes before adding pasta.
  3. Cook the pasta: Add pasta in a single layer, pressing gently to submerge. Simmer uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the noodles are al dente and sauce has thickened.
  4. Stir in cream & herbs: Lower heat, pour in heavy cream, then sprinkle dried Italian herbs. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sauce turns silky pink and coats each noodle.
  5. Season & serve: Taste and adjust with salt and pepper. Ladle the pasta into bowls and garnish with grated Parmesan and fresh basil.
