For the Shrimp
- In a heavy skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter until foaming and lightly bubbling, about 1 minute.
- Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant and golden, stirring constantly.
- Toss in shrimp, season lightly with salt, then cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and firm.
- Finish by stirring in lemon juice and parsley.
For the Canapé Base
- Brush each baguette slice with olive oil, then broil on high for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or ricotta on warm toasts.
For Assembly
- Arrange a shrimp on each baguette slice, then sprinkle red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately while still warm.
