For the Canapé Base
  • 1 French baguette sliced thin toasted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
  • cream cheese or ricotta optional for spreading

Method
 

For the Shrimp
  1. In a heavy skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter until foaming and lightly bubbling, about 1 minute.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant and golden, stirring constantly.
  3. Toss in shrimp, season lightly with salt, then cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and firm.
  4. Finish by stirring in lemon juice and parsley.
For the Canapé Base
  1. Brush each baguette slice with olive oil, then broil on high for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or ricotta on warm toasts.
For Assembly
  1. Arrange a shrimp on each baguette slice, then sprinkle red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Serve immediately while still warm.
