For the BBQ Glaze

  • 1/4 cup Honey or brown sugar Adds sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika Infuses smoky undertone.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Gives complexity.
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar Brightens the sauce.

Method
 

Making the Meatballs
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), then line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly greased foil.
  2. Mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl until just combined.
  3. Form about 1½-inch meatballs and place them evenly spaced on the prepared sheet.
Making the Glaze
  1. Whisk barbecue sauce, honey or brown sugar, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl until smooth.
Baking the Meatballs
  1. Bake meatballs for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and brush with the BBQ glaze.
  2. Return meatballs to oven and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until glaze is sticky.
  3. Serve hot, garnishing with chopped parsley or chives.
