- Preheat your oven to 375°F while you prepare your skillet and ingredients.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no pink remains, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking 3–4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
- Stir in diced carrots, celery, and trimmed green beans; cook 4–5 minutes until veggies are tender-crisp.
- Pour in beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce; sprinkle dried thyme, salt, and pepper, and stir well.
- Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Spread creamy mashed potatoes over the casserole, covering the filling completely.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top.
